Comments Thread For: Martin vs. Joshua A Hot Ticket, Sells Out O2 Arena In 90 Seconds

This is complete rubbish. Matchroom gives a load of tickets to thier secondary ticket partner Stubhub. This is why their fights are 'selling out' in 90 seconds, 5 minutes, 10 minutes.Comment

one rule for the rich, one rule for the rest. That's capitalism at its finest. While true, I don't think fans should be getting ripped off or forced to miss out on fights due to the greed of guys like Hearn.
I don't even know how deals like that are legal. Average people aren't legally allowed to buy a bunch of tickets just to sell them at extortionate prices, how is it ok for a company to get away with it?Comment

I have no idea, i'm from the UK, but i know that it's Hearn/Matchroom personally providing the tickets to what are basically touting websites.Comment

It's Eddie Hearn we're talking about here he basically is the British Bob Arum except I can't remember Bob Arum talking nearly the same amount of **** that Hearn has.
Indeed sad for the fans getting ripped off so likely Eddie can cash in and make much more but I can definitely see why there is going to be high interest in this fight.
This fight will do great PPV numbers the days of AJ being on standard TV is over until he takes a loss its going to be constant PPV's until then.Comment

This fight is a mismatch will be over in 2 rounds
Martin has no head movement, no real power.
Jousha will flatten him soon as he lands the first power punch
Whyte was a tougher opponent
I will not be paying for itComment

It's not really that he's such a big underdog. Once more money starts coming in on AJ they'll move the line to take a smaller loss than they would if they kept the current line should AJ win.Comment

+450 is good odds. This is how you make money betting - when the odds are skewed due to a people's favorite being heavily bet on as in case of Joshua. The other way is when an over riding favorite (Golovkin) is heavily favored - if you can get +1000 or better - eventually the favorite will fall. Course a little knowledge of the opponent always helps. But odds beat knowledge.Comment
