i wish this was a don king promotion if the guy could sell mayorga vs vargas he would do great with these 2
but don king is corrupt one of the judges had mayorga vs vargas a draw
Wouldn't he have the judges in favor of Mayorga, not Vargas. Mayorga is his fighter and Vargas made it clean win or lose that it was his last fight.

No it will sell good regardless. A great undercard will just boost the sales.

        What are you predictions????

I predict it doesn't sell more then 380,000......which isn't too good considering both guys have a national fanbase in their pocket.

How many PPV's are going to sell more than 380,000 this year? The bottom line is if it makes everyone money, it is a good promotion. As to the poll question, of course a better undercard will help PPV sales. The promoter has to decide whether it will sell enough extra to pay for itself. Most promoters believe that the main event is over 90% of how many buys a PPV brings in.

Avid boxing fans know the significance and quality of Cotto-Margarito, but the world at large really isn't aware. Perhaps if Cotto would wear fishnets in a pictorial for the female fans in the meantime he could capture some of DeLaHoya's fans and increase his crossover, crossdressing appeal.
Oscar already said he wants the fight, so nothing to worry about.

I named 380k as the maximum.

                  The minimum could be 300k.

I think it has the capacity to do 450,000 because of the whole mex v. pr thing. Margarito doesn't really have a big fanbase even in the mexican community, but since a lot of puerto ricans won't make the trip out west to vegas they'll order it on ppv.
