Well, it's a measured risk by pac's team. I think they've determined that it's a win/win situation for the most part. The fight will give Pac plenty of exposure and the buildup may make him a household name in the US.

If DLH were to win the fight, I dont think anyone would think any less of Pac as a fighter. He would also have sacks of cash to help console him. As I said before, I think Pac's team is going for the hail mary play. They're hoping oldman DLH will be a shell of his former self in the ring and a win over DLH would do alot to boost his resume. So all things considered, it's a preferable fight for Manny than facing the dangerous Soto or Valero because losing to them would certainly knock Manny down a few pegs in people's eyes.

I know fighters are smart. Pacquiao knows he can not knock out Oscar. His only chance is to box and move. And although he has the ability he doesn't like to fight like that.

Part of what makes Manny so special is because he's a bad ass in there. And it won't change he will duke it out with Oscar and get put to bed.
      QFT.

I really foresee a bigger fighter overpowering the smaller one. I really don't see how Pacquiao could beat DLH; which the only way he does have a chance is if like you said DLH is shot to hell and doesn't have the fight in him...which is so not likely.

Its a lose lose situation for Oscar.

If he knocks Pac out he was picking on a smaller man.

If he loses that would be a Major embarrassment.

I still give him a small chance to knock out oscar. But 4 sure he'll have enough power to keep oscar from walking him down all night like he had hoped. Pac should be more worried about oscar's jab than anything else. those jabs'll hurt more than the left hook 4 sure.

DLH would also train hard for this fight since it is his last and all, he wants to look good in his last fight. I don't see Pacman stand much of a chance.. I do, however, wish for some kind of lucky shot which would sent DLH to the Canvas just for choosing this fight!
Mosley body is amazing damn is this when he took roids?

Pac didint like those Marquez countershots, those straight left jabs and left hooks will likely end the fight in 6 or less, De La Hoya has problems with guys like Whitaker, Mayweather and Mosley as well as Hopkins, a guy like Pac is taylor made for Oscar, anyone who ever stood in front of Oscar with little to no regard for defense ended up on their ass, and the same would happen to pacman.
              Oscar is not shot lol
He has never been in Any wars...shot is when you been in too many tough fights.
Oscar might be a bit slower but he is far from shot.
past his prime maybe but not shot.
I just want Oscar to finally retire at least this time he will be retired for good because Pacquiao is a sure ko and big victory for him to retire on.

Size disparity aside, Oscar's jab is enough to beat Pac from a tactical standpoint. Pac's chance of knocking out Oscar is pretty much close to none, and his power should have little to no effect. Speed and footwork is the only thing going for him but as I said, DLH's jab will pretty much keep that in check. Barring a Picasso of a perfromance, I don't give Pac much of a chance in this one and would put Oscar as a 4:1 favorite at least.

Why dont you read what i said, i said "IF PACMAN HURTS OSCAR, THEN HE IS SHOT TO ALL HELL"

Domain, i know reading and comprehension tend to be issues for you, but reread my post, contact your last English teacher, do 2 vocab assignments, then post.

here is the assignment, analyze this statement here

That means if oscar continues his habit of abandoning his jab then i'll have at least 4x as much xmas shopping money come dec 7th.
