Rigo has 8 KO in 13 fights or a 61.5% KO rate, which is average at best. He has no KO's in over 2 years and that is when he was still fighting journeyman...YAWN..Rigo is on. Rigo is back to the career journeyman level once again for his next fight.
It was 8 out of 11 before he fought Nonito Donaire, a better fighter than anyone Wlad ever has or probably ever will fight, who was huge and has a pretty good chin. Rigo had him running for his life to avoid getting knocked out. Then he fought another tough out in Agbeko, who did much the same.

If Wlad was fighting more David Haye type fighters that were actually good fighters and ran from him for 12 rounds like Rigo is, than Wlad wouldn't have so many KOs. How many of those KOs are against his best opponents? He didn't stop Povetkin. He didn't stop Haye. He didn't stop Ibragimov. He didn't stop Peter when Peter was prime. He didn't stop Byrd.

Shock and awe! Wlad doesn't stop the best fighters he fights, just like Rigondeaux!

Pacquiao, Froch, Garcia, Khan would all come to mind but since I can only pick one and we're talking as of this moment I'm going with:

Carl Framption, quick, smart, huts hard ,seems to have a good chin, this guy can go all the way. Give him another year of top level competition and a championship belt and by 2015 he could be a real challenge for anyone in superbantam-super feather, including Rigo.

I'm not sure what you'd call the likes of Mormeck and Leapai then. Hardly world class.

Out of interest, which top fighter has Wlad ever knocked out?

          To the point,

I would say Kessler, but he's semi-retired. As soon as he steps back in the ring again, he's instantly #1.

There's a few active fighters I like, but at the moment it would probably be between Froch and Khan.

Kovalev - balls out aggressive style, guy's just a wrecking ball in the ring and comes with bad intentions every time.

Add to that his great line in trash talk, the badass Ivan Drago accent and the fact he just comes accross as a no-nonsense straight shooting kinda guy.

I'm also real big on GGG and ultimately he may prove the more complete fighter, but Sergeis all out offense and brasher personality gets the edge over Golovkins more methodical style and quieter demeanor.

Vlad did stop: Byrd,Peter,Brock Rahman, Brewster, MERCER, Schultz,Botha,McCline,Thompson, Chagaev, and Chambers.

Yes, Vlad has KO wins over Byrd and Peter !!! Get the facts !!!
Mercer has top 5 best chin AT.

All of those fighters are BETTER than anyone Rigo fought with maybe the exception of Nonito.

Povetkin was down what 4-5 times and Haye was down once too.

Marroquin and Abeko walked through Rigo's slaps. It is his greatness on defense that keeps him winning. Donaire dropped him and neither fighter did anything in that fight for 10 rounds.

Rigo is too inactive. He is older too.He will be 34 soon and only have 14 pro bouts in 5.5 years.

Rigo has not KO'd anyone since 2012. His last 3 snoozers have all been decisions and he hasn't even scored a Knock Down in any of those fights!!!
