I saw some boxers on the drive home tonight...

.. first of all I passed Jermain Taylor, who was stuck in the middle of the road. He'd ran out of gas.

Then I saw Carl Froch, but he couldn't get out of the slow lane.

Bernard Hopkins was driving a clapped-out Ford with all the wheel trims hanging off and the hood coming open. The car was so past its best it was a total write-off, but he assured me it was actually a good condition Ferrari and still worthy of his attention for the week.

Mikkel Kessler was there - he'd crashed into a wall.

"Mikkel," I said, "didn't you see the turning?"

"Schnell," he said, "Nein... nein... I izt are und see zee turning, but I could not adapt. I had zee plan... to drive forward. But then turnings, and roundabouts... so many anglez. Very confusingshun. I could not make adjustments midway through."

Manny Pacquaio was taking a drive, too. Someone had accused him of using illegal gas to soup his car up and make it run faster, so he'd disproved them by refusing to have his engine tested and came out with a completely different car instead.

Floyd was there, too... he was driving a top range sports car, which he kept telling me was the best sports car out there, and how he was going to test it against all the great racing tracks of the world. Sadly he was content to just take it down to the local shops.

You should make threads like this more often.

You didn't see Joe and Enzo at all?

did you happen to see Mayorga driving a motorcycle?...I think he was boasting how much safer it is than a car.

                  A for effort.

                  A+ for reality.

I was trying to think of one, something about Joe driving a really ****ty car but saying "I wanted to prove I'd face the best out there" or something.

Reed - did you not clock the Roy reference in the Hopkins one?
