Not just peoples right to believe, but actually that for many people religious faith is a very positive thing in their lives.

Which is fine and dandy. I'll defend the right of somebody to believe whatever they will as long as they are consenting adults and don't harm anybody else by doing so. But I reserve the right to challenge those beliefs as idiotic should I feel the urge.
