Well this is like the same thing as swinging a weighted bat while you are on deck to allow the bat you will be using to feel lighter and swing faster.

But i have read that doing those kinds of things allow you to train the wrong muscles and that it actually slows you down. You are suppressing the fast twitch muscles which are the primary ones used to give you explosiveness in boxing

They said in the youtube video that alot of boxers turn it down because they believe what you just said.

Yea i didnt watch the video but i hear that alot in ALOT of sport, mostly baseball

But things like that are true. Its like fighters doing hard weight training and slow down themselves when they should be doing explosive training.
