The new champion could make his first defense on the Island

Bayamon - In May, and possibly Puerto Rican soil, could be the first title defense of the bantamweight champion brand new World Boxing Organization (WBO, Wilfredo 'Papito' Vazquez.

WBO President Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel said two nights ago in the press conference postpelea Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon Vazquez, Jr., has a period of 90 days to make a mandatory defense against the first seed in the ranks since he is currently undefeated German-Hungarian Zsolt Bedak (15-0, 5 KO).

Props to Vasquez as he fought a smart fight against Sonsona, Sonsona fought a poor fight imo, i dont know whether the occasion got to him but he did not fight well at all imo, he was loading up from round 1 and leaving himself open, he can come again though but perhaps they need to slow his development down a bit, i would like to see Roach in his corner.
