So like america celebrates its diversity i guess where like a tossed salad with big chunks of tomatoes and cucumbers everywhere when we celebrate america we celebrate it all even the salad dressing but what about you guys in canada is it like viking heritage? inuits? didnt genghis Khan even come over their at one point? when you celebrate canada what heritage are you celebrating?

We don't really celebrate any common heritage in Canada, although the French Canadians in Quebec do. We've had massive immigration from many countries all over the world for the past 30 years, so we are, as the Prime Minister says, a "Nation of Minorities".

There is no majority here, the approximate percentages of heritage in Canada are, off the top of my head: French 21% Scottish 17% Irish 9% English 7% Chinese 6% Native 5% and the other 34% divided among Mixed, Ukrainian, German, Italian, Indian, Persian, Greek, Pakistani, Vietnamese, Japanese
