De La Chicken coming in "weight drained" was just icing on the cake

For all y'all who think that the De La Joto that faced Floyd Jr. at 154lbs would've been out of this universe compared to the De La Puto that faced PAC at 147lbs. Y'all are sadly mistaken.

Prior to this fight being signed, sealed and delivered to all the fools that actually dished out $55 to see a b*tch get prison raped.

Lets backtrack here, Roach was chosen to train De La Joto for the 5/5/07 bout against Floyd Jr. almost a year later De La Joto fought a "tune-up" against Forbes.

After the Forbes fight and Floyd's surprise announcement of retirement. Roach was quick to air out to the media, the now famous quote "he can't pull the trigger anymore" to bait the Chicken one.

The major factors leading to De La Joto's embarrassment of epic proportion were his slowing reflexes, stamina, and the southpaw style. The weight issue was merely an icing on the cake!

If weight was the biggest hurdle that De La Joto had to tackle, then Roach should've just said " He can't make weight anymore"(lol).



If Roach already knew that DLH couldn't pull the trigger at 154lbs what difference would it have made to PAC? Sure, DLPuto may have not crumbled to his knees so easily, but the end result would have been a lost regardless.

He wasnt weight drained because he was on weight the whole week of the fight.

He wasnt overtrained either because he started his training camp the same time as Pacquiao.

All it was was a mental error.

He had recurring thoughts of his fight against Hopkins and figured the less he weighed the more speed he would be able to carry so he decided not to rehydrate as much as he could have.

i don't know about him doing it for speed.

you're right though......it wasn't weight drain or overtraining.

overdieting? he was 145 or so a month before the fight i think. i saw it on 24/7

oscar miscalculated. he thought pac was gonna be an easy win.

so he wanted to be the same weight as pac fight night so people can't say he was too big for him. that's why he agreed to an unofficial weigh in even though he never use to do fight night weigh ins.
