Thought you needed something to suck, and as this is your favourite... - GreatJoe Since you're too shy to admit you want the real thing. - Equilibrium

Even though it was just several years, school was a lifetime ago for me. I was the other way round, but I wasn't quiet in gym due to shyness. i just wanted to get on with training and socialising is for outside the gym. Now i know a few people in gym who have boxed there for ages too, but still it's just Hi and Bye in gym. I only speak to them on Friday night if I see them out and about or after boxing shows.

I feel like I'm at home when I'm boxing I am not shy and I'm very popular

I feel so relaxed and comfortable and not afraid to talk to people.
But when I go to school I am shy again and don't talk much and don't
have very many friends.

anyone else get that feeling?
I am/was the same way.

It's interesting that a lot of "loners" or shy people without many friends start boxing. Then when you start training, you become friends with a lot people in the gym because you can identify with them more than with other people at school/work etc.

Same as me really, except I usually crack a joke or talk boxing with people, only briefly though. Train hard in gyms.

Social wise, I was VERY shy but now I'm more open and more talkative than I used to be since I left school.
