Most countries in and around the size of America with decent economies, experiencing serious economic issues on such a globally influential issues, effects globally. Perhaps US more so, but not to the extent of saying world revolving around it lol, that's ridiculous and quite shockingly ignorant. Also other countries being negatively impacted by the US's economic errors underline almost, the need to be less connected to and influenced by the US, which turns your post on it's head.

I half like what Kelly might be getting at, he made the point Lockett may not be known here but if you look into it fairly he's a decent fighter. He has known about Calzaghe for a fair while, is less ignorant than some in and outside boxing and he's kinda saying that. But ppl did know about Calzaghe in America in and around the Lacy fight era in similar levels. So it's kinda like, he either didn't recognise that, or he's exaggerating the ignorance. I think it's the latter, and poss not intentionately. He seems to generalise without meaning it, like saying no one knew about him, I think he means most.

No offence meant. But who cares what America thinks?

Another ******, pointless thread from kball.

If people don't follow boxing closely, then their opinions on boxing don't matter.

You can't say nobody. Joe C is an icon in the sport of boxing. Maybe nobody outside of the hardcore fans but you can't say he was a complete unknown before fighting Calzaghe. What's the beef with the UK anyway? Why can't *******s just get along? Boxing is a burning ship on its way down and you people argue amongst eachother about why said fighter sucks because he is from such and such country or how such and such was irrelevant until he fought here in the states. It's boxing get the **** over it. The same way I feel about racism I feel about this ****** UK VS USA arguement. We're all human, we all breathe the same air the same way - STFU.
