If Mormeck and Bell ever throw down again, and their bout is even close to as good as the first two then that should go down as one of the best. The first two fights had amazing action for 210 pounders.
the 2nd bowe-holyfield fight was good too. i think u ought to check it out.

good action, good skill level, an incredibly bizarre occurence, and a very close fight.

just saw barrera morales 3 again.....and i must say i had it closer than ever....It could easily have been a draw....but i had MAB winning by a point....what really strikes me though is the nuthugging fin favor of MAB by the HBO guys.....in one round, Morales lands a 1-2 then drives a hurt Mab to the ropes...and they say nothing....then when MAB is one the ropes, he lands a left hook to the body that didnt even make morales flinch, and Lampley is Like: TREMENDOUS LEFT HOOK!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah just like Barrera-Hamed Lampley overhypes Barrera's shots.

Barrera won all 3 fights, Morales was lucky to get one. It wasn't until Barrera (the boxing god) said to himself "hey, this ese is pretty tough. I'm going to help out his career and let him win one." that Morales ever had a chance.....

No seriously though, everytime I watch any of those fights I get a different score. All 3 could have been draws if you ask me, same as all three could've been to either barrera or Morales' favor.

But you're right about Lampley, he overplayed a lot of Barrera's activity during those fights. More recently he's done the same thing with Jermain Taylor or Joe Calzaghe. Lampley is a "flavor of the month" commentator and he abandons them at the drop of a hat.

I still remember the horrible **** he was saying about Marco in the Pacquiao rematch, during the moments he wasn't choking on Pac's **** that is.

yeah Jim Lampley is so much in HBO's pocket, its sickening....

IMO, Morales got the bad end of the trilogy because Barrera is prettier to watch....Morales can be winning fights while looking awful and dumb in his movements.....

Morales'fights are usually exciting as ****....MAB has a lot of snoozers, like vs Naz, Tapia, Peden ,Rocky 2................MAB was great when he ws a crazy 122lb slugger......the fact that people started to hype him as this masterful boxer ruined him...

It wasn't a trilogy though. Had Castillo have been able to make weight I'm sure people would be saying that though.

yeah Jim Lampley is so much in HBO's pocket, its sickening....

Completely agree on both points. Lampley sickens me to the core of my being, thank Christ for Merchant and is verbal bitchslaps to set Jim straight.

And I also agree about Barrera, when he was at 122lbs and a slugger, he was on. No doubt about it, but the Naz fight I think was the ruining point. It was Barrera's most masterful and powerful performance IMO but all of a sudden it switched from "this guy is one hell of a fighter" to "he's a masterful tactician".

Granted there was some truth to it because Barrera could switch styles on a dime from boxer to brawler and back again, but the brawling was always the "meat and potatoes" of his arsenal.

And I also agree about Morales getting a ****ty end of the stick, but it's hard to market someone who has the face of a gutter rat.
