1st fight was close that could have gone either way ..But Kessler was most certainly elite ..Joe didn't wipe the floor with him ..A fight between him and Froch would have been very good.Froch for what he lacks in technique makes up for it with gamesmanship ,his rangyness the Corba is no walk in the park for anyone . Even Joe..Also he has a solid trainer in McKrackin in his corner ..Makes for one hell of a fight ..

Calzaghe outclassed Kessler after figuring him out. I do think Froch would probably put up a better fight than Kessler though

did prime froch really diagnose and deal with speed / combinations better than prime kessler? i don't really agree.

i've always felt prime kessler to be a better athlete than froch, and it's the athleticism and speed of calzaghe that would trouble kessler.

all froch would have is the right hand counter against a fast southpaw like that, and joe would see it coming a mile away.

maybe froch catches him cold early on and shakes him and kessler doesn't, but otherwise i can't see froch doing better than kessler was able to do when he fought calzaghe at his peak.

joe calzaghe was f#cking good. really, really f#cking good. big enough, fast southpaw with a great chin and stamina. that's a tough, tough puzzle to solve.

Just too bad he wasn't either 5 years younger or 5 years older so we could have seen him in more interesting matchups.
he never hit hard. you are looking ignorant because you either never watched his early fights or did and want to lie to make him look better. hand problems lol. excuse for slapping which he did since the beginning of his career.

here are some examples. i can post about 20 of these if you want to keep making things up

Kessler is a mental midget. Once Calzaghe and later Ward had him figured out, he malfunctions and mentally quits.

Froch could get his **** boxed off for 9 rounds and still be a threat in the championship rounds.

That's being kind. He ****d Lacy's soul and ended his career. The Kessler fight was close for 5 rounds, then Calzaghe made him look ******. He actually almost stopped him.

He was a walk in the park for Ward and would have been for Joe as well in my opinion. Joe would have Lacy'd him.
