Dempsey got himself into great shape at 186, and johnson was a stupendous 205.Both fighters want to win. Here's the tale of the tape.
And now Jack Johnson can be seen by the crowd and he does not exactly get a heartfelt ovation. boos can be clearly heard. Johnson is wearing a white robe. johnson gets into the ring and warms up by practicing his evading footwork.
Jack Dempsey is now in the ring and the crowd erupts in applause. dempsey is wearing a white robe. here is our ring announcer for tonight, Michael Buffer!

conn: You boys both know the rules of the Colorado State Athletic Boxing Commision. protect yourself at all times, and break clean. shakes hands, and come out fighting!
Round 1: Dempsey is bobbing and weaving and johnson is on the move. dempsey is not lunging with those hard shots, but he is content to attempt to box him like he did with Tommy Gibbons back in 1923. He applies a good amount of pressure, but he is not careless. johnson uses his jab well, and he is cat quick as he tie dempsey up in the clinches. dempsey is still patient and he scores with some good right hands.
Round 2: Dempsey is still in his croutch, looking for that one big punch to take johnson out of there. at this point, johnson is too fast for dempsey. johnson has learned well from his last series with max schmeling, for max also alot of the time fights from the panther-like croutch that dempsey impliments. Johnson is now landing solid rights to dempsey's face, but he takes them, and dempsey has his jaw tucked in to minimize the damage. johnson is scoring well, and dempsey keeps coming in, but everytime he does that, johnson is right there to hold him off with his superior strength.
Round 3: Johnson looks confident as he lunges in with shots of his own, but he is able to get out of range of dempsey's left hook. Johnson uses the right hand well, and counter's dempsey's left hooks with straight and overhand rights. Johnson is doing wery well indeed as Dempsey's bob and weave is not paying off as of yet, becuse Johnson is landing, and landing heavily. Dempsey walks through his shots and gets in some lef thooks and right hands to stun johnson, but when dempsey tries to follow up, johnson has enough strength to hold dempsey. Dempsey becomes the persuer as the round ends.
Round 4: Johnson is now carrying the attack, and Dempsey obliges as now for about a minute, both men get into a slugfest. Dempsey is just too powerful and johnson goes down! the crowd is on their feet, thinking that dempsey would win, but johnson is up quickly and they resume. This is plain survival for johnson for the rest of the round, as he does a lot of parrying, covering up, and tying up.
Round 5: Dempsey now goes out like a madman. he throws thunderous shots, only to be twisted up by johnson's powerful arms in the clinches. johnson has recovered from the last round and he wants to take control. johnson is now hitting dempsey with good shots, but dempsey fights back landing two right hands and a left hook, but johnson takes them well, and he comes back with some shots of his own before the bell ending the round sounds off.
Round 6: Dempsey is still moving in, but with not as much of the tenacity that he exhibited in the earlier rounds. johnson realizes that dempsey is weary, and he capitalizes off of this. a jolting right uppercut and a left hook stuns dempsey. dempsey holds on, but johnson is again right on him with solid punches and dempsey just tries to hold on. Johnson gets right on him with solid head punches and jolting shots to the midsection. dempsey is staggering right now, and johnson tries to finish, but the bell saves dempsey.
Round 7: Johnson seems to be in complete command. Dempsey is now tired from all that lunging, so he decides to play it cool and to gas up so to speak for the next round. Dempsey throws minimal shots and he just concentrates on bobbing and weaving. Johnson ties dempsey up in the clinches, and dempsey at times gets free to pound the body. Johnson is still winning this round, but it is still a close round.
Round 8: Dempsey is still patient and Johnson looks like he wants to end it as he luges frequently with those left and right hands, while in position to avoid any counterpunches. Dempsey has a bit more energy now and he is starting to come on now as dempsey gets inside Johnson's defense and pounds the body. dempsey starts to take over and the crowd is on their feet. Dempsey starts to dominate and Johnson becomes a bit weak from the punishment he is taking to the body.
Round 9: Johnson tries to fight back, but he walks right into a dempsey left hook and johnson is stunned! Dempsey smells blood and tries to finish, but johnson uses his great defense to survive and now he looks a little better, fighting a tactical battle of jabbing parrying and rolling with punches. Dempsey impliments his roll well, and johnson has decreased accuracy of punches because of this. this is a good round for bothe fighters.
Round 10: Johnson is still patient as dempsey tries to score with that left hook, but johnson knows better than to be caught with that. Dempsey is moving well as he avoidsjohnson's shots and scores with shots of his own, but Johnson has his moments as he pounds the body of Jack Dempsey and scores with big right hands. it's still a close round.
Round 11: Johnson is trying to take over once again, but dempsey is just not there as he moves in and out very well and lands his left hook. Dempsey weakens johnson as he pounds the body. Johnson puts up a good fight, landing hard crisp right hands, but dempsey is now the stronger of the two. Dempsey is stroming this round pounding the body and the head, and johnson is defenseless, but the bell saves him.
Round 12: both men comes out. dempsey is in hiscroutch, pressing the fight, and johnson is moving and bouncing around a little. dempsey lunges, but johnson is there to tie him up. dempsey is strong, but johnson has that little extra strength to tie dempsey up in the clinches, but he can only do it for a little while, cause dempsey knows how to free himself and pound the body, which he does. johnson manages to get away and they cotinue. johnson jabs and waits for dempsey's lunges. dempsey corners johnson occasionally and work the head and body, and johnson counter punches when he can. the round is about even.
Round 13: Johnson is countering dempsey's blows and trying to stay away. dempsey lands some good shots, but johnson survives them. johnson for the first half of the round is trying to stay away from dempsey and dempsey for the first half is going after johnson. in the second half, johnson threw more punches and was more aggressinve. this is a good round for johnson as he puts some good punches together and does good in the clinches.
Round 14: Dempsey is bobbing and weaving, and johnson uses his jab a little. dempsey gets under his jab and lands his left hook, but johnson presses on. dempsey throws another left hook and johnson parries it, and gets in a left lead. Dempsey still goes after him and puts on tremendous pressure and gives johnson no room to breathe. Dempsey stuns Johnson with hard, fast blows and johnson is near the end, but somehow, johnson survives.
Round 15: Johnson and Dempsey both try to make a good impression on the judges. Johnson boxes well, and dempsey applies pressure. Dempsey is real tired, but johnson looks great as he used to fighting forty rounds or more! Both men look ery impressive as theyare able to execute their game plans to the way they would like. They both slug it out for the last 20 seconds of the round, and the bell rings ending the round as both men are tired, especially dempsey.
Johnson was down in the fourth round, nd both mens eyes are puffed up. here is Michael Buffer with the decision.
Michael Buffer: Judge Artie Aidala scores it 8-6-1 for johnson! Judge Tony Castellano scores it 9-4-2 for dempsey!(applause is heard) (Here is Mark Conn's decisive vote)Referee Mark Conn scores it 6-6-3, it is a draw!!!!
We go into overtime! This round will decide who goes on to meet Muhammad Ali!
Round 16: Both men come out fast, dempsey looking for a knockout, and johnson looking to out point dempsey. Johnson lands his punches well, and dempsey does some body work. Johnson is jabbing alot and on his toes staying away. dempsey bulls his way through with his bob and weave attack. Dempsey gets in a big left hook, but johnson takes it well. Johnson lands some right hands as the bell rings!
Michael Buffer: The two judges and referee Conn score the round even!
So we go into double overtime!
Round 17: Johnson comes out patient and scores with good shots. Dempsey is looking for a knockout. Dempsey suddenly unges with a left hook, and johnson makes him miss and counters with a lunging hard right that hurts mad jack. Johnson follows up with fast, hard combeos and dempsey is down! The crowd is on their feet, but dempsey is up at four. and they continue. Dempsey somehow comes back and catches johnson on the ropes and pummeles him. Johnson is defenseless, but the bell saves him!
Michael Buffer: Judge Artie Aidala scores the round for dempsey, and Mark Conn scores the round for johnson, but Tony Castellano scores it even!
We go to an eighteenth round.
Round 18: Dempsey is more patient and looks for a spot to land his shots. Johnson is trying to put on the pressure now, because he doesn't want dempsey to gain momuntum and possibly win this round. They clinch frequently and dempsey does body work and johnson continues to head hunt and rip fast combo to rack up points.
Michael Buffer: Once again, the two judges and referee Conn score the round even!
Once again, we go into extra innings! This is turning out to be a great fight! We go on to a quadruple overtime!
Round 19: Both men fight in close quarters. johnson spends a lot of time on the ropes, parrying dempsey's thunderous blows. Dempsey is once aging doing a great deal of body work and occasional uppercuts to wear down johnson and decrease his stamina. Both men do very well and they greatly impress the judges with scoring their punches.
Michael Buffer: Again, the two judges and referee Conn score the round even!
We now go to a twentieth round.
Round 20: Johnson is now on his toes and looking to stay away, and dempsey is pursuing him. Johnson lands good shots that keep dempsey off-balance, but dempsey still moves in, bobbing and weaving. Dempsey get johnson on the ropes and pummels him. Johnson goes down! The crowd is on their feet. Johnson is up at the count of eight, and dempsey continues his onslaught. Dempsey is landing terrific blows and johnson is defenseless. Referee Mark Conn is watching carefully. dempsey is just too much for Johnson, but johnson manages to block some shots and counters with a right hand that throws dempsey off-balance a little. Suddenly, Johnson recovers and starts throwing dynamite bombs at dempsey's face. the crowd's jaws drop as they watch johnhson come back from that beating just seconds ago and puts the manassah mauler in serious trouble. A one-two now puts dempsey on the canvas! Dempsey is up at six, and he take sthe mandatory eight count. this is a great round! They now get ino a slugfest as the bell sounds! Both men are tired. Here is Michael buffer with the decision.
Michael Buffer: Judge Artie Aidala scores the round for Johnson, and Mark Conn scores the round for Dempsey, but Tony Castellano scores it again even!
So now we go to sextuple overtime! Will we see some of the same from the last round? Let's find out.
Round 21: Both men are taking precaution. They clinch and Johnson uses his superior strength and stamina. Dempsey is dead tired, but Johnson is fresh. Dempsey is pursuing Johnson, but he can't find the target. johnson is outpointing dempsey. Somehow, somewhere, Dempsey lands a hellacious blow that drops johnson. 120,000 fans are screaming on their feet, cheering dempsey. Johnson is up at three and dempsey moves in to finish. An overhand right and a wide-looping left hook puts johnson down for the last time in this tournament. Dempsey is relieved, while Johnson cannot believe what has hjappened to him. All that he has worked for has now gone down the drain, and it will be Dempsey, not Johnson who fights Muhammad Ali!
Michael Buffer: The winner, by a knockout at 1:59 of the twenty-first round, and the winner of this second round, Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaack Deeeeeempseeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyy!!!!!!!
The crowd is jumping about and screaming as Dempsey now moves on, and the last piece of the puzzle is in. We all now know who is in the Western and Eastern Conference Finals! The whole stadium is shaking as the celebration continues.
Dempsey: He is the toughest fighter I have ever feced in my whole career. he is a great fighter.
Johnson: Man he is so good, I think he will beat Ali!
This was by far the best fight in this entire tournament. This is what the public want. Good gritsy action non-stop. I'm out of breath just calling this fight, imagine how tired the gladiators are from fighting twenty-one hard rounds. Well, that does it for tonight. Again the final score is dempsey-ko21! Let's send our cameras back into the newsroom.
this is butterfly1964 and welcome to the Stockyards Stadium in Denver, CO for part two of our quadruple triple-header, fight #1 between Jack Dempsey and Max Baer. both of these gladiators are known for their murderous punch. so it should be a good fight. both of these fighters were known in their day to be real ladies men, so to build up the female fanbase for this fight, a poll was done as publicity a week before this fight, asking a total of 1,000 women who was the better looking man. 69% chose dempsey, while 28% chose baer, and 3% was undecided.
at the weigh-in, dempsey tipped the scales at 192, while baer came in at a lean 210. let's go to the press comference, where there are many girls there staring google-eyed at both fighters.
dempsey: "I trained hard for this fight, and i'll try my best to not let my fans down."
baer: "I'm honored that i have a chance to fight dempsey. he referee'd one of my fights, and now i get a chance to fight him. I'll try my best!"
this press conference lacked the sting that the ali-jeffries build-up had, but i'm sure the fight will be a doozy! here is the tale of the tape.
over 100,000 fans pack the stockyards, for these are the typical numbers that are put up when dempsey comes to fight. spectacles such as dempsey-willard, carpantier, and tunney I and II can serve as examples of six-figure attendances to catch a glimpse of the manassah mauler. dempsey has the home advantage in this one, so this will be an all dempsey crowd. dempsey is a 3 to 1 favorite to beat baer. baer comes into the ring wearing a long black robe, and a few cheers can be heard. then dempsey comes in and the crowd goes wild. Teddy Hayes is dempsey's trainer, and Mike Cantwell is baer's trainer. Let's listen to michael buffer.
buffer: "Ladies and gentleman, llllllllllets get ready to rumbllllllllllleeee!! fighting in the blue corner, from Livermore, CA, wearing gray trunks, he stands 6'2 and one-half inch, weighing twoooo-ten, the Livermore Larupper, Maaaax Baaaeeerr!! (a few cheers) and in the red corner, from Manassah, CO, he wears solid black trunks, he stands 6'1, he weighs one ninety-two, the manassah mauler, Jaaaaack Deeempseeey!(loud cheers)
Mark Conn gives instructions, and we are ready.
Round 1: dempsey comes out bobbing and weaving and throws his left hook. it connects, but max takes it well. baer jabs to try to keep dempsey away. dempsey still is pressing the fight, baer catches dempsey with a vicious right hand, that staggers jack. baer follows it with right crosses, followed by some illegal backhands ala schmeling, lol! conn warns baer. dempsey tries to tkae command but he gets caught with a right cross, jack's achilles heel, and down goes dempsey! jack gets up in two seconds and he is getting caught with some vicious shots by the larupper. 15 sec remains and dempsey is floored again! the bell sounds as dempsey gets up at the count of 7: demspey is staggered as he walks to his corner and baer seems ok. cantwell, tells baer to use his jab more to keep him at bay. dempsey is told by hayes to keep pressing and ducking his shots and to use the left hook more.
Round 2: both men come out and dempsey walks right into a jolting uppercut, and several right hands and down he goes again! there is no three knockdown rule here, so that's one thing dempsey doesn't have to worry about. however as he comes in, baer's haymakers are finding it's mark. demspey is floored seven times before the round ends. the crowd is in stunned silence as they watch their hero being pummeled: dempsey's eyes are puffed up, and he needs smelling salts to revive him. baer is cool, calm, and collective.
Round 3: both men come out and baer somehow can find jack's head despite the bobbing and weaving. demspey is floored twice in the first minute! dempsey then throws a prayer of a left hook, and just taps baer's jaw, but he leaves himself open for baer crushing over hand right, and down he goes again. demspey tries to get up, but doesn't make the count. Baer shocks Colorado and pulls off a great upset! you can hear a pin drop, as jaws drop. no one can believe it. dempsey is embarrased.
buffer: "the winner at 1:35 of the third round via tko, Max Baer." (the crown is completely silent, almost in tears)
baer: "i'm glad that i won. i hope that i can kepp this up and win the first round, and eventually the entire tournament."
dempsey: "he hits hard. once he hit me with that uppercut, i knew it was over. But i'll try to bounce back and win the next time we fight."
WOW, what a finish! first ali comes and delights the houston crowd and convincingly wins his first game, then this. can demspey bounce back, or winn baer take it all the way, find out on monday for fight #2. this is butterfly1964 signing off from denver, CO. first we brought you the west, and now for the east! stay tuned as we travel to the east coast and are cameras are switched over to Detroit, MI. don't go away!
why is bear 6f 2.5inch here and 6f, 4inch in the baer-klitcshko thread?
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to The Western Conference Finals of Heavyweight Boxing. I'm butterfly1964, your ringside commentator. We have an interesting style matchup for you on hand.
1. Muhammad Ali vs. 2. Jack Dempsey - Houston Astrodome, Houston, TX for fight #1.
Can Ali jab Dempsey to death, or will Dempsey overwhelm Ali with his left hook? Let's send our camera crew out to Houston, Texas.
We are here at The Houston Astrodome, where it is proclaimed as "The Eighth Wonder of the World". It is a sell-out crowd, over 125,000 fans on on hand for tonight. The celebrities at the fore-fold are, Will Smith, Tom Hanks, Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce, 50-CENT, and many others. Whenever Muhammad Ali is fighting, all huge names show their support. But I won't be suprised if some people came for Jack Dempsey as well. He was very popular in his heyday. Both men came in at tip-top condition. Ali weighed in at 203, the best shape he is in for the entire tournament, while Dempsey tipped the scales at 184, very light for his size as well. At the press conference, we all saw the boldness and wit we have all come to expect from Muhammad Ali.
Ali: Dempsey'll come out bobbin' and weavin',
I'll tire him out so much that he start doin some heavy breathin',
And once I know that my jabs have had their fill,
I'll stop playing and go in for the kill!
I am thee greatest!
(The crowd is very amused)
Dempsey: Well, I trained hard, and I'm ready. And I hope that the best man wins.
Well that was amusing. Ali gave us a little poem, hehe. I had a chance to interview Muhammad myself.
butterfly: Honestly, how do you think this fight will go?
Ali: This is a mismatch. Jack Dempsey will be no match. He's too short. He's too slow. He don't have the reach. He can't take a punch. He don't hit hard. And, he don't have the footwork.
butterfly: You sound very sure of yourself.
Ali: Yeah, well I don't see this cat having any kind of a chance with me. I've seen what happened when he fought Gene Tunney. He kept lunging and lunging and he just couldn't hit the guy. Well, I'm about ten times better than Tunney, so this guy will just be a walk through until I meet up with Slow Louis, or that big, ugly bear, Sonny Liston!
butterfly: So are you saying that you will sweep Dempsey?
Ali: I should be able to!
Well, there you have it folks! I also interviewed Dempsey before this fight.
butterfly: What will this fight in your opinion materialize as?
Dempsey: I'll win, I know I will. Ali's just blowing a lot of hot air! He has no chance with me.
butterfly: Do you really think so?
Dempsey: Yeah, I mean did you see what happened with Henry Cooper? Or Joe Frazier? These guys used left hooks on him and it worked to an extent. I should be able to do the same and come out with an easy win.
Both men are really condident. Ali however is the 3 to 1 betting favorite. Here is the tale of the tape.
And now Jack Dempsey makes his way through the crowd. He is wearing a black robe. He gets a tremendous ovation from the crowd; he's very popular here. Dempsey is accompanied by trainer Teddy Hayes.
And Muhammad Ali is seen and the crowd goes ballistic! Muhammad is with trainer Angelo Dundee. Ali is wearing a white robe with his name on the back in red lettering. Now here is our official ring announer, Michael Buffer!
Michael Buffer: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Western Conference Fiiiiinaaaaaals! Introducing, from Manassah, CO, he's wearing solid white trunks, he stands six foot one, he weighs one ninety four, the manassah mauler Jaaaack Deempseeeey!(the crowd cheers loudly for Jack) And his opponent, (loud cheeres and screams) from right here in Houston, TX, wearing white trunks with red trim, standing six three and weighing in at two hundred and threee pounds, the greateeeest, Muuuhaaamaaaaaaaad Aaaaaaliiiiiiii!(the crowd cannot control itself as Ali takes a bow) Llllllllllleeeets get reaaady too ruuuumbllllllllllllleee!!!!!
Mark Conn: You boys know the rules of the Texas State Athletic Boxing Commision. Protect yourself at all times. I want a good clean fight, and break when I tell you to break. Any questions? Shake hands.
Round 1: Ali moves out and is on his toes. he circles to the left constantly and pos that jab. Dempsey comes out bobbing and weaving and croutched low. Ali keeps circling the ring at great speed, and his left hand is ready. He also uses his right well, because he knows that dempsey is a sucker for a right cross. Dempsey has his left hand ****ed for that devastating left hook. dempsey throws about eleven left hooks in the round, but they all miss. So jack has to settle for a few right hand that do not land flush because ali is moving at blinding speed. He watches for that left hook. Ali is using his feet well in this round and never stays still for a moment. when he gets the opportunity, he right crosses dempsey to death: Ali is breathing a bit hard, but he seems fresh. So does dempsey as they are given instruction from their trainers.
Round 2: Ali still is on his toes and moving, using that left jab to keep dempsey off balance. Ali has his hands low, but here's something that you all might want to know; he's at long range with the hands low! Ali is still moving and jabbing amd getting in those righ crosses and landing them effecively. Dempsey seems to have trouble landing his punches, cause the endlessly moving Ali cannot stand still. Ali does his shuffle and lands a one-two, but dempsey is not bothered. dempsey is still pursuing ali, and he gets under his jab, but ali is right there to tie his up. ali does not let dempsey work his body. dempsey does land some body shots though, and he lands his first left hook in this round, but ali does not feel the effects: Dundee is instructing ali, and hayes is doing the same.
Round 3: In this round Ali is still on his toes somewhat, but he goes more flatfooted and he puts some more pop on his punches. His jab goes in well, so does his right cross, and even some left hooks of his own! All this time, dempsey is looking to get in big left hooks, but it's Ali who lands tremendous left hooks. Dempsey somehow through all that bobbing and weaving gets ali on the ropes and punishes the body and head, but after dempsey gets in about 5 seconds of constant punching, ali holds behind his head and ties him up. Ali sticks to his game plan of moving to the left and occasionally to th right, shuffling his feet from side to side landing his left that keeps dempsey off-balance, and his right, that jarrs dempsey. This is a good round for ali: Hayes is working dempsey over to get back some of his stamina.
Round 4: Here, ali shows that he dominates the action in every department. he out boxes dempsey, out punches jack, out moves the man. He is flatfooted and getting in those lefts. Ali is now the pursuer on a tired dempsey, his left foot bent and going forward, and his left hand ****ed for that jab. By the middle of the round, Ali shows signs of... of greatness! He reminds us of fighters from yesteryear. Folks like Jack Johnson, Billy Conn, Tommy Lourghan. he boxes very well. Ali throws his classic combination, a fast left and right hook to the body and a fast left and right hook to the head, and they all land! Dempsey fires back with a left hook, and ali answers back with a one-two. dmepsey lunges forward, and ali pulls from dempsey's punch and then simultaneously landing a right hand counter on the jaw, and dempsey is stunned! Ali follows up with ten fast punches: five sets of left and right hooks to the head and dempsey goes down! The crowd is on their feet, but dempsey is up at the count of two and the bell rings: Dempsey needs some reviving, and ali looks strong.
Round 5: Ali shows no signs of slowing down, but dempsey does. Dempsey lunges, and most of the time he misses. Ali has his hands low and stands there and gives you a big target to shoot at, but, he just isn't there! Ali is still flatfooted and landing great combinations. The expressions on the two gladiators faces are quite different. Dempsey's face shows rage and a sort of craziness, while Ali face exhibits rather definite, hard looks! This is a one-sided round as Ali controls the pace from beginning to end: Ali is still fresh, but dempseyis tired, but will not give up.
Round 6: Ali is on his toes again and pops that left jab. He is very confident. dempsey croutches low, slips the jab and scores with a good left hook and ali holds on to dempsey tying him up. ali looked a bit stunned, but he recovers very quickly. Ali still boxes from the periphery and looks pretty good, but dempsey is starting to come on and scores with good left hooks. Ali uses the right hand well, and he stuns dempsey near the end and moves in to finish, but the bell saves dempsey: Dempsey looks confident, and ali needs some rest.
Round 7: Dempsey's face is really puffed up, and ali keeps working on it. dempsey scores with a right hand and a left hook, and ali is not bothered, but he still carries the attack. Dempsey is bobbing and weaving and avoids half of the punches, and gets by li's jab and pounds the body. ali is hurt, but he still is able to tie up dempsey. Ali still moves well, still landing that right hand with force, speed, and pinpoint accuracy: Ali is a bit tired, and Angelo is telling him something, while Teddy is working on that eye, which is now cut.
Round 8: Ali comes out moving with that blinding spped he used in the first round and decides to headhunt. Ali jabs and moves and lands rights and left hooks, followed by uppercuts as he pulls away from reach. Ali continues this and dempsey seems stunned, ali smells blood and goes after him. he lands crisp clean combination and dempsey goes down for the secnd time in this fight! dempsey is up at three, and ali continues to press the fight on an injured dempsey. Ali keeps throwing his shots and landing them heavily, and dempsey just succumbs from the punishment and goes down again! Dempsey is up at seven, and he fights back for the last five seconds: Ali looks poised and ready, and dempsey is still game.
Round 9: Ali is still on his toes and tries to finish. Ali scores with a double right and a left lead and dempsey is staggering! The crowd is on their feet. Ali throws to left leads and a crushing right, ala Cleveland Williams, and dempsey goes down! Dempsey is up at eight, and Ali throws serious left and righ hooks and another double rights, flooring dempsey once again for the fifth time! Dempsey gets up, but it is too late as Mark Conn counts to ten. The fight is over!
buffer: The winner, by ko at 1:07 of the ninth round, Muhaaamaaaaaaad Aaaaaaliiiiiiii!(the crowd is happy as they cheer the hometown boy)
Ali: I told you I was gonna win, didn't I? None of these fighters are in my league!
Dempsey: He's a lot better than Jack Johnson! He's so fast I could have barely hit him. He's good and tricky. he also hits you kind of wierd. The punches don't seem hard, but they still mess up you brain or something! But I'm confident that I'll catch up with him.
Well, that will do it. Once again the final score, ali-ko9.
Peace!
