Comments Thread For: K9 Bundrage-Joey Hernandez IBF Final Eliminator

The International Boxing Federation has approved Cornelius "K9" Bundrage (32-5, 19KOs) and Joey Hernandez (23-1-1, 13KOs) to battle in a junior middleweight final eliminator. K9 was last seen in February, where he lost a twelve round majority decision, and his IBF title, to Ishe Smith. Hernandez, who recently parted way with his promoter Don King, has been inactive since last November.

Molina vs Kirkland was a WBC eliminator bout and Kirkland won by a bull**** gift DQ and was offered the Canelo WBC title fight but asked for $3 million and priced himself out and it ended up being Josesito Lopez who got the fight in the end after all that Paul Williams/Victor Ortiz drama, since then Molina has fought Cory Spinks for a IBF eliminator and got himself up the rankings that way.

Holy shit! "Twinkle Fingers" is lining up for a title shot?! Where's damit305?

By the time this fight comes off, Joey wouldn't have fought in over a year. I hope Hernandez has at least been staying in shape. Luckily, "K9" just isn't very good. This promises to be a fairly rugged fight.

This is what is so f***ed up about boxing. We keep seeing the same tired no-hopers getting shots at the title gain and again. We need to see some young new faces.
