Default Why are TRT exemptions allowed in MMA, but not boxing?

Or is it, and we just don't hear about it?

Don't get me wrong, I despise PED's either way, but isn't that kind of strange that MMA is the only sport in the world that allows TRT exemptions?

MMA and boxing are generally tested by the same people - the state athletic dept.

TRT is allowed in boxing if the fighter has medical clearance. Keith Kizer of Nevada said a couple years ago there were two or three boxers cleared in Nevada for TRT.

Obviously this is abused and is a major loophole in the system.

Such BS. If you're bodies too old, and worn down to fight, and you need to boost your system, should you still be fighting?

Isn't that just nature taking it's course? Out with the old, and in with the new. Tired of that BS.

It would be utterly impossible for Bernard Hopkins to perform at the level he performs at without TRT.

There are legit conditions though that should be treated. The key is to know what the fighter's T/E ratio SHOULD be, and make sure when using TRT to maintain that ratio and NOT go over (that's when it becomes abuse).

Yeah, but 9 times out of 10, the condition is either BS, or it's because the fighter was abusing roids in the first place. Either way, if you have a condition, then you shouldn't be fighting, or just fight with that condition, and take that risk.

And 9 times out of 10, anyone with a TRT exemption is abusing the hell out of it, and going beyond their required limits in training camp, then bringing them back down to the legal limits when it's time to test.

Utter BS.

It's a procedure an athlete takes if they get an exemption from THEIR OWN PERSONAL doctor. It's basically taking testosterone to balance out any deficiencies in your body.

Mainly, former PED abuser take them, and older athletes. It's like an athlete taking a drug enhancement, because they're old, and their bodies are worn down, and instead of retiring, they take some miracle cure that pretty much restore their bodies back to normal, but that's the catch. 9 out of 10 athletes aren't doing that.

They juice their ass off, then they bring their levels back down to normal once it's around testing time.

Oh, and as far as "special conditions" go, athletes can tell their doctor any damn thing they want, and the doctor can prescribe them with a TRT exemption. Yes, they can get them from their own personal physicians.
