I find them both painfully boring but have more respect for the athletes who play soccer than I do for the athletes who play American football, due to the fact that the average amount of time that the football is actually in play in the American version is 11 minutes per 4 hour game.

The rest of that time is wasted on time outs, penalties/play reviews, commercial breaks/advertising, slow motion replays, sideline interviews, and other tedious bullsh*t.

Say what you want about a lot of soccer players being flopping f*ggots (and I'd be inclined to agree) but at least they're actually pushing themselves out there on the field.

I saw somewhere, and I don't know how true it is, but the average NFL game features only 10 minutes and 43 seconds of action - the rest is just replays, commercials and commentary.

I mean is that true? If so that's an absolute disgrace and shouldn't even be considered/mentioned in the same breadth as football.
