CARL FROCH insists he does not need revenge over Mikkel Kessler to go down in history as better than Joe Calzaghe.

Nottingham’s IBF world champion faces WBA king Kessler in a mouth-watering world title unification clash, at London’s O2 Arena on May 25, after the Dane won their first encounter on points in 2010.

Froch, 35, fought back to reclaim a world title after losing to Kessler and again following his points loss to American Andre Ward.

Taking real challenges and surpassing the expectations set upon you like Carl did makes you worthy. Although not an ATG, he is definitely worthy of respect amongst True boxing fans

by far..

calzaghe was a good fighter, he gave hopkins a tough fight even though i thought hopkins won and ofcourse he was past his prime at the time. same thign applies to eubank except joe acctually deserved that decision, kessler was a good win too.

it doesnt hold up against frochs resume though. froch fought much stiffer competition which is why he isnt undefeated. thats really all clazghe has on him and he really doesnt even have that since he really lost to hopkins. and he would lose even more if he went through frochs opposition.

frochs legacy is much stronger than calzaghes.

Calzaghe was a beast and very quick but the man left the game before he fought a solid 168 or 175 fighter (I want him against Dawson or Ward) The Roy Jones fight was a joke the man was wayyy past his prime and the same goes for Hopkins who I personally think won the fight...

Calzaghe is a joke, dude fought lousy opposition and the big names where old past prime fighters. Froch has done a lot more than Calslappy ever did.

Fan of both fighters frochs resume as a whole is arguably better but he's lost his biggest fights , calzaghe cleaned out the division winning all 4 belts beating everyone in the division excluding ottke! Lacy was supposed to murder calzaghe Kessler was a unified champ. Then he moved up to 175 and beat the man in a fight that was only close to Hopkins sack riders and got a massive pay day beating a shell of an atg. Resumes aside calzaghe would embarrass froch and if ward was around in calzaghes pomp he would ud him aswel

Calzaghe might have been a better boxer than Froch, and probably would have beaten Froch in a real boxing match, but Froch's level of competition blows Calzaghe's resume out of the water. even though Froch has losses you have to give him credit for actually fighting the toughest competition that he could find.
