Wladimir Klitschko vs. Bryant Jennings

Wladimir Klitschko will be fighting on May 4th. The date has been confirmed by RTL, but as far as I know, no opponent has been signed at this time.

Francesco Pianeta and Bryant Jennings have been in negotiations, but Pianeta's promoter Stenforth says Pianeta is not fighting Wladimir.

So it looks like it will be Bryant Jennings.

Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated says there is a chance Klitschko-Jennings will be part of a HBO PPV on May 4, but I find that difficult to believe.

I expect an official announcement within a few days.

But at least Jennings will come in shape, and give it his best effort.

For that reason, he's a better opponent than Odlanier Solis.

Jennings is a much better opponent than Wlad's last... few opponents. Except maybe Haye but we know what happened there . I hope Jennings gets his shot.

It has to do with TV dates.

May 4th is acceptable to RTL and according to Chris Mannix, it may be part of the HBO PPV on that date.

Mannix suggests that Mayweather will not fight until June, but Saul Alvarez will still be on a May 4th PPV.

oh definitlry. I guess this is just a huge step up in class and I dont think he's prepared from his resume. He could surprise...i would have preferrd an in shape Solis... But he was killed by fat solis
