So when manny landed something of significance in the sixth marquez started moving away, stopped countering for a little while, invited manny to take risks. it was all about getting him in the perfect position for a counter - a position he would never normally adopt. how often in these fights have you seen pacquiao rushing his face forward in that sort of area around an opponents body? never. the combination of having a point to prove and thinking he had a chance of a series defining ko, something to quiet the doubters and prove his "greatness", all this led to him being completely careless.

as a fan of boxing both of those punches were things of beauty. marquez said the advantage he had was that he was smarter than pacquiao and my word did he prove it.

I guess we'll have to disagree for the time being....saying all these nuances of subtle moves by Marquez doesn't dismiss the explosive power he showed last night...it was too much..i've seen him hit pacquiao a bunch of times while pacquiao was going in there guns blazing...(look at the second fight)...and Pacquiao was never hurt that badly before...never..
