As far as Annies thread, Daniel Craig has made the Bond role his *****. He totally owns it. I'm a fat yank till death, but Daniel Craig Bond destroys Bourne. He is an absolute killer.

Bute didn't look that good. He finally woke up in the 12th, but for a "tune up" fight against a 12 fight Grachev, it wasn't a resounding performance, and raised more questions then answers. Froch beats him pretty badly again in a rematch.

As for the topic, then the only thing with Craig is that his films are arguably not really JB movies in a pure sense, but who cares? And PaulF talked a lot of sense.

I don't care what anyone says to be a Contrarian, Sean Connery and Roger Moore were the best.

Their respective times (60's, 70's and early 80's) and the look it gave off on the screen also helped them. James Bond was meant to be a cheesy melodrama. A average build man with sort of average fighting skills who gets himself into all sorts of situations and gets out of them clean. Kind of like Forest Gump. The new ones who are trying to make Bond into Bourne (as already mentioned) or the 'Taken' guy, is just overkill.

If you can't make it work anymore with a average looking charmer, in his mid-40's, hair chested guy -then just don't make anymore Bond movies. We don't need Bond to be an athletic, martial artist killing machine.

I think Bond was meant to be a slick African American with gadgets. Denzel would be the perfect Bond. All he needs is a watch that fires lasers, and he would be pretty much unbeatable.

Just think about that....Denzel with a watch that fired ****ing lasers!

Film after film of him fingering leggy Russian birds in casinos and lasering his way out of trouble with his badass watch.
