Great amateur, that was slightly overrated(the man couldn't solve Igor Vysotsky in two different fights, yet Jimmy Clark, Greg Page, even his backup Angel Milian beat this guy).RIP Teofilo, you were a class act.Probably would've gotten the gold in LA too, if not for the boycott.

I am currently doing some research on Teofilo I was wondering if anyone had any insight into why Teofilo was so successful as an amateur and why he never turned pro. Was this mainly due to his love for Cuba and the communist revolution or were there other factors in his decision?
