its among the best teen slasher flicks ever IMO... it goes beyond the shock factor common in this genre and goes "truman show" as a bonus...

its a mixture of the hunger games, truman show, scream and a dash of plato's allegory of the cave glued together by it's surprisingly strong premise...

i think 8.5 is just fair...

The Descendants: 8/10.

Normally I'm not into dramas, but this one struck home a bit. Great watch by yourself, or with a girlfriend - wouldn't want to watch it with the homies. Just the right about of comedy blended in as well.
