Rakhim throwing a lot of feints. Referee tells them to pick it up, Rakhim responds well and hurts Mendoza.

Mendoza is fighting very negatively now.

Rakhim cutting the ring off well, lands some heavy shots!

What a boring fight. Chakiev's boxing ability is totally unimpressive. He can only slug it out and cannot even finish this journey man...

Mendoza still being negative.
Lands a nice uppercut which knocks Rakhims mouthpiece out.

Rakhim showing superb head movement, bobbing & weaving, lands two big lefts snapping Mendoza's head back.

Hes picking the pace up now as Mendoza seems to be in survival mode.

Mendoza is in survival mode, referee tells them again to pick up the action.

Chakhkiev is clearly frustrated.

Mendoza's head is getting snapped back, hes took some ferocious shots. Showing some real grit here but not a lot else.

I think in the last 3 rounds hes only thrown a handful of jabs. Very negative!

Rakhim briefly turns orthodox & starts jabbing to the body.

Mendoza dropped hard in the 9th from a huge straight left, Rakhim flies out like a mad man and is throwing bombs, going mad!

Mendoza ties up & starts spoiling and recovers well until he gets pasted again.

Man hes taking some heavy leather.


Hes down for a second time in the round and the referee counts him out.
Possible injury for Mendoza, appears to of injured his arm/wrist, possibly broken from blocking those shots.

Credit to Mendoza as he took a brutal beating and ate some murderous shots but damn he was so negative & really was just looking to survive.

Apart from taking his foot off the gas and letting Mendoza recover a few times, Rakhim looked great IMO

Tried some new things like switching to orthodox, he was up on his toes a few times. He adapted really well despite facing such a spoiler.

Hes ready for the bigtime. Hopefully next time he steps up & faces somebody not merely looking just too survive.
