I can't remember where I read it but the best way for the gaming industry to exploit it's customers is to release the same game, every year for £40. FIFA do it and get away with it, other games are catching on now.
Why spend money finding new concepts and ideas when the old ones work just as well?

Look at Counter Strike, the most basic and rawest of FPS's but still the king. CoD4 was the best of the series and it was without most of the features in the CoD games nowadays.
The only redeeming factor of Black Ops 2 is they're working with MLG.
