when mentioning someone like srr, you have to take into account that it was a different time period with different caliber fighters. SRR was like a roy jones talent in his day. In roys prime he is pretty much considered an unbeatable fighter. If SRR only fought 3 times a year, there is a strong possibility that his career would have been an even greater success.

in terms of talent,You could make a case for ODLH running through SRR's resume undefeated, but its all about how you interperet it. Oscar was trained under modern methods, someone like Lamotta may not fair as well against an athlete with modern conditioning.

These arguements are always oppinion based... there is no right or wrong answer.

this is true...nelson's best weight class was super featherweight imo..and chavez was the champ at jww at the time. pac beat sasakul, barrera, marquez (close/controversial win), and hatton when they were considered the BEST in their weight class at the time. 4 lineal titles in 4 different divisions is hard to deny..

Im not even going to ask how you came to the conclusion that these "wins" are better than beating Chavez. Pure Bull****. I think some of you fans are so new to the sport you have no clue how significant Chavez was during that time.

Pacquiao. Simple. Pernell was a great fighter, tad overrated but I think H2H he'd beat Pac. Having said that, his resume isn't spectacular whereas Pac has fought and beaten almost every exceptional fighter of his generation. All that's left is Floyd.

pac's win against barrera was more significant of a win...he was seen as the huge underdog against barrera and for good reason. he was moving up to 126 for the first time (barrera's weightclass), he wasn't considered top ten p4p, and barrera was considered one of the best p4p fighter at the time (i think he was 3rd best p4p), and pac didn't just outpoint barrera he DEMOLISHED him. with chavez vs whitaker...chavez was moving up in weight to fight pernell whitaker (at a 145lb catchweight), ww is not one of chavez's better weigthclasses, and both guys were seen as one of the best p4p. pac's win was more dramatic, was upset of the year and was much more significant of a win.
