To Droid users that don't want to pay for monthly "HotSpot" feature + other Apps - Page 3

All i did was DL foxfi, turn on hotspot and my ipad saw it and connected..

LOL both Samsungs and 1 can't see the other.

I remember the reason I knew about the PDAnet app to complement Foxfi is because I read it in one of the android forums before I downloaded it.

Ive got no answer bro... Ive got about 6 mins worth of experience with foxfi.. DLit, tried it, surfed on it for 3-4 mins... said cool... that was it.

This tasker app, I gotta do research... I just bought the 7" samsung Tab to install in my car, and I have to program it so that when it sees a charge "key turned on" it automatically turns the screen on and unlocks, and vice versa without power.

You can do it, theyve done it, but the app is complicated.

Tasker is so complicated and too in-depth that it has it's own Wiki.

My favorite profile is upon attaching my charger, my phone switches to dock mode and exclaims "Autobots transform!"

Your not kidding I bought it because i heard about all the cool **** you can do with it, but once i started messing around with it, it discouraged me big time.

Ah ha! I was missing the secure systems plugin that allows me to wake the screen.

REED, you might want to check if that "Turn On" function in Tasker is available on your Tab.
I didn't install Tasker on my Tab but on my S3 when I tried to add that "Action" a message popped up saying that action isn't available on my device.
