But glad you agree that Tyson denied the Douglas victory (what ever his motivations or motivator).

Mike's team denied the loss for about
a week. After that he finally admited
publicly that he loss. to this day
James toney will not admit he loss to
    Tiberi.

      tiberi fight?
Yes I have seen the fight and have the fight on tape (it is the cut glove fight)

It is NOT Toneys best performance by far, I believe he underestimated Tiberi. Toney tires quickly (after 3 rounds) and the pressure of Tiberi make sure he never gets his second wind.

Tiberi throws the most punches. But a lot are no-counts ('specially on the inside), either misses and on the arms, or punches with the underside (!) and the inside of the gloves (and low blows!). Toney lands more of his punches, these are the the harder and cleaner punches, but the total of punches thrown is less, but he does lands the most power shots. Tiberi dictates the pace and forces toney backwards. Tibery was hurt in the first, toney was tired but never hurt.

To my opinion: many rounds are close, and also is the fight; Frank Brunette 111-117 for Tiberi has, again to my opinion, poo in his eyes; but I would also score it closer than William Lerch and Frank Garza who both had it 115-112 for Toney.

I have the fight for Toney being the champ and the 1 point deduction at a draw.

(If you watched it on abc, turn of the sound and watch the fight again.)

So if it a stolen decission it is not more stolen as the draw against McCallum was stolen from Toney, and not as much a bad decission as the Montell Griffin fights.

When we are discussing this fight I would also give a "less competence" note for the referee, it took him 5 rounds before he warned Tiberi for repeated low blows (and than deducted a point after one warning!?). And after that no more warnings (even after a series of hooks on the hips, that made Toney limp afterwards! (Seen Toney limp with his right leg when Tiberi gets the tape of his glove fixed?))

        Denying is not accepting. Period!
I am not getting into a who denied it the longest contest.

And it is not a FACT don King made Tyson deny his loss, but movie fiction.

Also it was until after their protest did not bear fruits, and the WBC, WBA and IBF reacted and said Buster was the rightful champ that the Tyson leechers stopped shouting this thing.

What else was there left than to live with the defeat?!

I'd say the first cracks in tyson showed up in the first bruno fight. He was far from prime in the douglas fight. I'm a Tyson fan but i do think that he'd have struggled with douglas even at his best. Douglas was a beautiful boxer in spurts. I wish he'd really kept it together.

By the way you guys over in the states are so lucky to have loads of boxing on tv. It's not too good in Britain at the moment. i think i'll have to move on over!

I remember watching that fight. I was training out of the same stable as James was and he was very quiet when he returned from that fight. I am not picking on james here, I believe him to be one of the most talented fighters around. But he lost that fight and then lost to Reggie Johnson too.............Rockin'

Yeah it's well known that Mike Tyson Jr. is a ****head in general- but just because he doesn't use proper grammar or word his posts correctly doesn't make him less intelligent than you. Someone burned him for using bad grammar, maybe his native language isn't English, if it is then damn that is bad I guess. Anyway moving on, he gave me bad karma titled "spinks nuthugger" lol in a Judah -Spinks thread for disagreeing with him about something, which is ironic since I wanted spinks to get dropped..however luckily his reputation is in the ****ter so it didn't take any reputation of mine away ;-) eat a **** tysonjr ;-)

                oh and one last thing.
