Default [HELP!] Shoulder cracks/pops, some pain!

So my left shoulder usually whenever I lift it in a chicken wing motion or rotation of my arm there are "clicks" "pops" "cracks" in my shoulder and I can feel it there too.

Right at the top of your shoulder mostly on the top fronter part(the side facing in front of you) is where I feel it. There is pain if I keep my hands up for more than say 15 minutes, it practically causes me into a Philly Shell stance to avoid shoulder area pain.

It has appeared since boxing maybe 2-3 weeks ago(I've been boxing for at least a month.

Any advice on this shoulder issue??

It is not a natural pain you can fight against.

See your Dr, training with it will only make it worse and it will be a case of antibiotics and months out.
If it is your rotator cuff it needs rest & to recover.

Man, I've had shoulder problems since i started boxing at 19 and now im 22. Its stopped me from competing and training. First most important thing is rest, you gotta rest it if its giving you that pain. I tried fighting against it and it really just made it worse.

Do ice packs on the shoulder ( no longer than 15 mins) and then heat. once or twice a day. Don't ever sleep on the affected shoulder. Look up "diesel shoulder rehab" and start banging out those exercises after a good rest period (1-2 months depending on the pain). Also start doin some body weight exercises involing the upper body and ive found great success with Olympic Lifts.. they improve my overrall posture and tightens up the ligaments and tendons in the shoulder area.. this has what has worked for me.. havent had any shoulder probs since i started these solutions.

This is a very common injury, and you should probably change trainers because the one you have is either stupid or not paying attention. When you jab, you don't lift your left elbow. This breaks the line of the body (you aren't getting your shoulder and that slight turn of your hip into the punch) and puts all the strain of the punch on your rotator cuff. If the same dingbat has also convinced you that it is in your best interest to hit a heavy bag that weighs a ton, you'll tear your shoulder up real quick. If he also tells you to hit the bag as it swings into you, you are even more screwed.
If you are training guys to box, you have to do them the service of teaching them to punch properly, how to work a heavy bag, before you just cut them loose.

It's not only about being taught how to properly throw punches but it also has to do with getting you physically prepared for boxing, which includes teaching you how to properly warm up; stretch and build, and condition all the muscles that you will use in the sport. My advise is to see your doctor and take his advise.

see a doc now. and then ask to be referred to a shoulder specialist imediately. I had this, i did nothing, and then suffered multiple dislocations and needed major reconstructive surgery. That was may 2012 and im only just starting to train again
