i heard their raising the age limit you can box amateur i think its from 35 - 40 one guy turned 36 the other day and has to get a medical done tommorrow im from uk though so not sure if that age limit applies in usa.

The 10,000 hour rule is often applied when considering how long it takes to become an "expert" in a certain discipline. 10,000 hours is 3 hours a day over 10 years.
It's unlikely therefore that your friend will reach "pro" level, as time isn't on his side, however, there is nothing to stop him from becoming the best boxer he can be. Always follow your passion, what has he got to lose by trying anyway? |
