70s for me.

The movies that made me pick the 70s are the following.

Superman I(Hackman, Reeve]
Enter The Dragon[Bruce Lee]
Serpico[Pacino]
Scarecrow[Hackman, Pacino]
Godfather I and II[Brando, Pacino, De Niro etc.]
A Clockwork Orange
Taxi Driver[De Niro, Kitel(spelling)]
Rocky[Stallone]
The Exorcist
Star Wars
The Deer Hunter[De Niro, Walken]
The French Connection[Hackman]
Dog Day Afternoon[Pacino]
And Justice For All[Pacino]
The Poseidon Adventure[Hackman]
Mean Streets[De Niro]

I'm young, I was not around when these movies came out. I'm 23 now, but believe it or not, these are the movies I grew up watching on tv. As young as like 13 years old, I have seen all of these movies a bunch of times each already, and a lot more. Of course I saw other movies from the 80s and 90s growing up, but this is the decade that has some really unforgettable films for me.

I can name all of my favorite movies from the 70s-90s honestly and just make a super list, but I just had to go with the 70s.

some gooders from late 90's-early 2000s...gummo, trainspotting, the acid house, four rooms, crash(the movie where people reeact car accidents then screw), u-turn, saving private ryan, braveheart, gladiator, snatch, lock & stock & 2 smoking barrels, hotel rwanda...some other good movies are the last king of scotland, the killing fields(80's) sleepers, true romance, kalifornia, natural born killers... almost forgot recent movies like apocolypto, passion of the christ, rock & rolla

Not a bad list, with Clint Eastwood as one big omission.

City of Lost Children was a French arthouse film, not a B movie at all. And I wouldn't say that Hellboy was Perlman's "big break". It was maybe his first major leading role but he is and always will be more of a character actor than a leading man because of his massive big face.

i know he was in lots of movies before hellboy but his first bigbreak in a major leading role was hellboy. the guy who directed hellboy also did one of the "blade"movies & perlman was in a supporting role as a vampire henchmen. when the script for hellboy was given to the hollywood powers that be, they didn't want to use perlman they wanted to use a star like brad pitt, affleck, etc. he turned around & said he wouldn't release the script or make the movie unless ron perlman was the star...respect to the director for his loyalty...can't recall who the director was...
