I picture him as Isreali in features mixed with some Mongul or asain like features. We are talking thousands of known years of evolution so taking somebody from that area now doesn't make sense.

You should watch the life and times of Jesus (I think is the name of it)
pretty good documentary that gives you a good insight to what things were like at the time of The New Testament.

Israeli of those times aren't the same looking Israeli of our times though.

The lightest I could see him being is Amir Khan complexion. I agree with you about the part about possible Mongul or asian like features. I'm thinking like Ben Henderson(google search him).
