Lampley was off his rocker with that quote.

Everything about Ortiz is over hyped. From his strength, to his skills, to what he can do, to how successful he was, to his dangerousness.

I remember Lampley calling Jermaine Taylor the most athletically gifted boxer ever seen at MW, or something very similar.

At 147, in the present 147. Yes he's among the strongest. He's already among the tallest, then he comes in at 164lbs on fight night so he's one of the tallest and biggest, but Mike Jones takes the tall department. He is strong too, he's stronger than the current versions of Mayweather, Pacquiao, Berto, Mosley. But one of the strongest ever, is just an exaggeration. But I mean, look at his back, the dude is huge and is only 24, it is inevitable that he will one day fight at 160.

As far as physiques, he appears as one of the strongest (doesn't mean he is). Mike Jones physique is another, who would make him appear stronger.
I say appear because he didn't prove it or put it to much use on Saturday, neither did Mike Jones against Soto Karass.
Physique is physique and strength is strength. What good is a great physique (in boxing), if you're getting pushed around by smaller fighters?...
