Default Carl Thompson was robbed of his title

If you watch the video below, you'll see that the stoppage was indeed premature and completely bs, but it seems thats common in UK. Just as Nelson started landing hard punches, the ref stopped it. Carl was obviously still ducking away and still in the fight when it got stopped and he got robbed of his WBO title. Nice move dullard ref! Tho I don't doubt Johnny would/could have won without this, it really wasn't fair. Carl was robbed of a chance to come back, like he did in some of the previous rounds. I know its old stuff now, but just wanted to share it with ya, many of you havent seen the fight even I bet. So enjoy:

Thompson will never go down as one of the greats. But he will always be respected as a fighter who gave everything in the ring and put on some heroic displays.

I liked him because he was an excellent technician with good head movement (how many so-called "great" fighters today have little to no head movement?) and a fortress-like defence. He knew when to fight and when to stay out of trouble and he specialised in allowing opponents to punch themselves out (Haye took the bait hook, line and sinker).

Carl Thompson was one of the most exciting fighters of all time.
I agree it is a bull**** stoppage because the man has a reputation for playing possum and making dramatic comebacks.
Nelson also was beaten by Guillermo Jones but it was a robbery draw.........
