During the Lakers 3-peat Shaq put up respectively 30 and 15, 28 and 12, and 27 and 14 on 55, 52, and 53 percent shooting.
Kobe put up 28 and 5, 25 and 5, and 30 and 6 assists per on 46% and 45% shooting. Are you really gonna perpetrare that Shaq wasn't the man on those teams for 2 arguably 3 of those championships? His numbers in those championships are even better than his playoff averages.
And while on the subject of the teams Jordans faced in the finals, the East back in the early 2000s was weak as sh*t. It still is pretty weak except for the Top 3 teams.
An old Reggie Miller, Jalen Rose, Al Harrington for one of those championships. The AI Sixers for another one, and Jason Kidd, RJ, and Kenyon Martin for that last one? Teams might not have been all that in the 90s, but keep it in perspective because Jordan certainly beat a lot more important players for all of his championships, so if you are arguing one way then also be fair and look at the rosters that Shaq and Kobe beat and the two championships he won by himself. Even that Magic win was kinda sheisty because the Magic were also a pretty weak team.
This is finally the year though. If the Lakers come out of the West and win the NBA championship I can legitimately say that he earned it because the Top 3 teams in the East are finally not a joke.

None of the above. Jordan never lost in the Finals, Kobe has. Kobe in his prime has missed the playoffs and Jordan has more MVPs(finals and regular season), won Defensive Player of the Year and would annihilate Kobe in every category outside of 3-pt shooting.
