His ground and pound has worked well against low tier opponents and borderline gatekeepers, to put it above Shogun's is absurd. Rua has ground stoppages over Overeem x2 and Ricardo Arona. Jones hasn't stopped any ranked fighters from strikes.
That being said, I hope he beats Shogun. He's got young blood athleticism and hunger on his side.. It should be very tough for him to damage Rua. I'll put points on Jones though, just because he's a hometown fighter.

We know Rua is MT Specialist. And I said that Lyoto's style is tailor made for Rua due to his stance where it is prone to leg-kicks, which Rua capitalized during their first fight. On the second fight, Lyoto's psyche (as he has never tasted defeat before) could have been damaged already by Rua.
On their stand up fight, I also see how Jones' height and athleticism would compensate for his lack of experience to evade Rua's attack.

Bro am not writing off Rua. Its just I dont see how this experience would work against Jones when he also had a long competitive fight prior Machida's 1st fight (his lat was against Overeem in 2007). He had an awful fight against Griffin probably coming offa back of injury and again, I think he also had a knee injury last year before his supposed fight to rashad.
