    Chavez/Martinez Over/Under 400,000 PPV Buys

I believe this fight will crack 400,000 with the 2 24/7 episodes and that Chavez has had extremely strong HBO TV ratings over 2 million viewers for Andy Lee fight. Sergio has averaged about 1.2 million i believe for his fights on HBO. Over/Under 400k Buys?

I dont see it happening. If Cotto v Margarito can only muster around 350K then i dont think this one surpasses that.

i can see it doing over 400k. Cotto vs Mosley did like 480k buys in 2007 and i feel like this fight is pretty similar to that Chavez/Martinez on Mexican Independence day weekend imo will be similar

I'd guess like 350k...400+ would be great.

          ??????

the first cotto/margarito did about 500k and the 2nd fight did over 600k

According to Iole, Saturday's rematch between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito did around 600,000 Pay-per-view buys. Those are really impressive PPV numbers for guys who's names aren't Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao.

In a recent article by Iole, the veteran scribe writes: "Saturday’s show between Cotto and Margarito should come in right around 600,000."

That is interesting. I didn't know they only sold that much. I voted Chavez Martinez would sell over 400K, now I'm wondering.

400 k sounds about right. maybe a bit less. i dont think they'll do more.

              i'm buying it

if chavez is clean he's made me a fan. he looked fierce against lee.

two top guys with crowd pleasing styles that clash magnificently.

i'll be putting money on jr, too, i'd guess, if the odds looks favorable.

anybody know what happens if a fighter fails a drug test when i bet on him...

I think the comparison is closer to Morales-Pacquiao I or Mayweather-Gatti, which both only did like 350k. And that was back when boxing was much more popular. So my guess is 300k.
