Can I be bothered to stay up till 4 or 5 in the morning to catch this on streams? I've already got the return of boxing to UK terrestial TV with Skelton-Williams (being advertised on the back of Amir Khan's first pro bout). Assuming they're reasonably entertaining bouts, then is it worth staying up five more hours to catch the King of Dull go on runaround?

But IF he does lose I'll laugh my nuts off.. and my twat. That's right, I'm an hermaphrodite. Overnight you'll suddenly come onto Boxing Scene and hear people say "hang on... he has the record number of defences, but who against? Actually I should revise my statement. People also know that Hopkins lost to Roy Jones some time in the hazy past. So basically they think that Hopkins career went Jones-Trinidad-De La Hoya-Eastman, and form their opinions based on those fights.

Nobody has a right to say anything about Hopkins' legacy until they see more fights than this.

Hopkins made his "rep", as you call it, way before those fights that you mentioned, which you might have known if you actually knew what you were talking about.

What other fights have you seen? Joppy? Hakkar? Those are the others ones people bring up. Have you seen anything pre-2000?

The thing is that you and martinwbc come on hear and gloat about how much smarter you are than the rest of us ignorant chumps because we judge Hatton and Harris based on having seen maybe one or two fights. So make sure when you make such strong statements about a fighter that is acclaimed by most experts to be a legend or a near-legend that you've done all of your research...or else stop posting about how dumb the rest of us are.
