  • Is Floyd strong enough for 147?

This thread is fairly simple. Is Floyd mawyeather strong enough to fight the likes of Mosley, and Margarito who are naturally bigger, and stronger men with more power.

In terms of asking if he can compete viably, his speed, reflex, and natural talent will allow him to be succesful at 147.

Ray Leonard wasn't exactly strong enough for Middleweight, nor was Henry Armstrong at Welterweight.

A guy like Mayweather can get away with being at a disadvantage in strength.

      He's a special talent.

Floyd should stay at 140 first and see if he can handle Cotto and Hatton, who are big and strong at 140, before he thinks about taking on Mosley, DLH, Margartito etc at 147.

Don't be fooled by Floyds win over Gatti. Gatti has ALWAYS been troubled by slick boxers ala losing to Robinson twice, Manfredy, even Soliman in early in his career. Hell Rodriguez was giving him hell too before Gatti KO'd him.

I want to see PBF vs Hatton or Cotto first. I'd pick Hatton to beat him and PBF slightly favourite against Cotto.

Floyd dominates everyone through 147 lbs easy. This guy does not get hit, he has supreme confidence and super skills and speed. Corrales could not touch him; The only fighter that posed any threat to him was Castillo, but Castillo is a monster. I take Floyd over DLH, Mosley, & Margarito and wipe outs over Hatton (lol) and Cotto. Hatton needs to learn how to box, all he does is wrestle in there and he gets away with it because he's always fighting at home. Get him across the pond put his ass in there with Floyd in MSG and we'll see what happens.

Hatton is a bigger, stronger, harder hitting version of 135 pounder Castillo. Hatton would give Floyd hell because he will be all over him like a cheap suit because Hatton is a pressure fighter and Castillo gave Floyd HELL with his pressure. Hatton can box and does have underrated boxing skills. He also is bigger, stronger, has equal if ot better stamina, better chin (Floyds chin as never been tested, Hatton took shots from Tszyu and was still standing).

Floyd with his talent may beat Hatton, but NO WAY he wipes him out.

Dude, Floyd ain't bothered to face the best at 140 yet and couldn't even dominate the best at 135. Zab has called him out and has all the 147 belts to fight for and all Floyd has is the weakest 140 belt, one scrawny little belt for 2 yrs of work in the division.

Take it to the comedy channels. As soon as Floyd's ass tries to cash the trash his mouth is writing, he's gonna be stretched out big time. He'd better stick with the Mitchells of the 140 division if he wants to stay undefeated.

Man, Zab ain't got nothin' on Floyd. PBF whooped on him during sparring. Floyd is unstoppable right now. He's the TRUTH, Number 1 Pound 4 Pound. Hatton ain't even on that list. This games about money, if people don't cooperate, none of these meaningful fights will ever be made. It's not cuz Floyd is duckin' anyone. He'll beat everyone from 154 on down right now, even boring ass Winky.

I told you to take to the comedy channel. This is a boxing board. Floyd backed out of the Winky fight so fast that he'll never be the same fighter again. He's already exposed, that's why he'd rather fight the Mitchells of the ring. Fact is he was so scared of Gatti that he jumped through hoops trying to get that fight cancelled and it cost him a lotta money. Floyd and finances go together about as well as you and boxing. Never 'twain the two ever meet.
