Bryant Jennings’ fight with fellow unbeaten heavyweight Michael Perez had been barely two weeks away from happening this past May when Perez suffered an injury, delaying their bout by two months to July 26 on the undercard to Gennady Golovkin vs. Daniel Geale at Madison Square Garden.
Jennings says that delay didn’t have an affect on him physically, though it perhaps altered his calendar for the rest of the year.
“I’m always ready. I’m always in shape. It didn’t really affect me,” Jennings told BoxingScene.com last month. “There’s no physical setbacks unless I get injured.
