Arreola, according to Stiverne, isn't that big of a puncher, just a volume puncher. I doubt he gets past Stiverne anyway, but if he does, a few solid Wilder punches should wake him up pretty good. The only thing that concerns me about Wilder is that he hasn't built up his legs enough to take a solid HW punch well. If he plans on being more than a flash in the pan, he needs to get to work on that project. But yeah, a Wilder/Arreola fight would be a blast to check out.

There are no decisions in a Wilder fight. You have to knock him out early or he will put you to sleep. You're simply not going to survive 12 rounds against that combination of speed, reach, volume and power.
So... Arreola does have the right strategy here. The only problem is that he gets hit a lot.. especially in the face. His poor foot movement sure isn't going to help him in this situation.
Wilder will break through his high guard, and God help him if Wilder goes to the body... if welterweight Thurman cracks ribs, you can imagine what Wilder's body shots do.
Watch Arreola's fight against Travis Walker. That was a younger, undefeated and faster Arreola, and Walker made him take a knee. If Wilder lands that shot.... Chris is not taking a knee, he's taking a nap.Last edited by SN!PER; 04-27-2014, 03:05 AM.
