With high hopes and high expectations, Mayweather’s appearance on WWE RAW was a huge failure. Many fans are demanding their “Money” back and calling this episode a step back in recent weeks.

In a desperate move to generate fight hype, Mayweather agreed to appear on WWE television to host Monday Night RAW. Initially, there was some mainstream attention and coverage. An excitement was building for Floyd’s appearance especially among wrestling fans. But this was all for nothing...

Instead of preparing for a last chance opportunity to generate hype for the Marquez fight, Floyd was off being associated with a shooting at a Las Vegas skating rink. The Las Vegas police execute a search warrant on Floyd’s home the morning of his WWE appearance. The police were looking for a gun. No gun was found, but the damage was done.

ESPN and other mainstream outlets covered this police encounter. The negative cloud surrounded Floyd. This caused the WWE to limit Floyd’s exposure on RAW to the bare minimum.

Floyd spent about 10 minutes on TV and only got one chance to hype up his fight vs. Marquez. The crowd lost interest in Floyd’s appearance and, in the end, Floyd’s appearance on RAW only served to hurt him. It made people care about him even less.

Floyd did more to damage his fight vs. Marquez in the last 48 hours than to help it. A fight that was already hanging on life support is now pronounced dead. Floyd can blame himself for turning the fans against him, for retiring, for being associated with a shooting and for going on television and making himself look pathetic.
as long as Floyd KO's Marquez who cares if he was associated with a shooting or gets low PPV's i don't....

Isn't being associated with a shooting a GOOD thing for a fight? You get more exposure and crap.

Where is this guy from? Mars? He actually thinks that publicity from a shooting is bad for business nowdays. That makes his name even bigger in the media and people want to see the fight even more

Was the raw episode any good? Worth watching? Talking to Floyd fans here not people who will attack him for no good reason
