Does he mean he was better or worse than expected?

They train in Big Bear together and Abel is not one to insult sparring partners for his fighters.

Unless they are Peter Quillin. But he's a potential opponent.

Also how cool would Kovalev-GGG sparring session be?

Sanchez "warned the world about KOvalev" in regards to him being a volume-power puncher. I would love to see video of that sparring session,although I've heard that all of GGG's sparring partners make him wear 16's.
