  • If the Pros were allowed to fight in the Olympics who would be the Gold Medalist?

The amateur game is different to the pro game, much more about landing the scoring punches, only 3 rounds and head guards. Also stricter refereeing, adhering to the rules.

So which of the pro boxer's would be the Olympic Champion under these conditions?

    light flyweight 49kg, Roman Gonzalez

    flyweight 52kg,

    bantamweight 56kg, Guillermo Rigondeaux

    lightweight 60kg, Yuriorkis Gamboa

    light welterweight 64kg, Amir Khan

    welterweight 69kg, Manny Pacquiao

    middleweight 75kg, Peter Quillin

    light heavyweight 81kg, Andre Ward

    heavyweight 91kg, Yoan Pablo Hernandez

super heavyweight + 91kg David Haye

This would be a good discussion if the thread starter didn't create the thread while his mouth was affixed to manny's waist.

The best pro boxers in the world would never fight in the Olympics, even if they could.

welterweight, middleweight, and super heavy weight is beyond laughable. pacquiao who take a ton of punches to land one will win the gold medal in the olympics, eh? I dono if its trolling or just lack of understanding how amateur boxing works, but like I said, laughable. amir khan would beat manny in amateur boxing ffs. get a clue dude, this is so funny

Raise your public profile and get some good fights in.

Who wouldn't want a Gold Medal.

Pacquiao a fast starter, very accurate, great combos and a very good guard for the amateurs.

A cert for the Gold Medal.

I'm pretty sure they would. An olympic gold medal is the hardest title to achieve.
