  • Linares possibly back too 130

Former world champion Jorge Linares could return to the super featherweight. Akihiko Honda, Roberto Diaz and Gilberto Jesus Mendoza met in Tokyo to discuss the future of “El Nińo de Oro” and the victory of Mexican Gamaliel “Platano” Diaz against Linares’ Teiken stablemate Takahiro Aoh to take the WBC super featherweight world title opens the door to a possibility for Linares to challenge for that title. Linares has fought his last six fights at lightweight

Linares fan but even for boxing nowadays it would be ridiculous for him too get a shot at a title but he has already beat this Diaz guy in a world years back so there is a story

I don't like the idea of him moving down. It means more weight for him to cut. The possibility of him being drained or dehydrated in one of his fights. That sets him up for another KO loss if anything. He got KOed by Salgado at 130.
