Is this the boxer thats been stabbed and shot several times? If so, I thought he was dead. Glad he isn't dead. Hopefully he had enough money to get out of the bad neighborhood he was living in.

      He moved Florida.

I don't know if those wounds r affecting him, or if he just doesn't have the "it factor" but he doesn't even appear on the verge of stardom.

We'll see what Floyd Sr did for him

That said, he's a cool dude, so I'm not purely trying to dislike him

He claims he's the best at 140??

Yet he got battered by Khan in sparring getting dropped in the process

I hope he's still not smoking that buddah. It's painfully obvious that he still does by the way he tired after 2 rounds.

We'll see about that. Really excited for this fight. Vernon has talent but too many things have held him back, hopefully he's read to shine.

              Vernon is talented but!
The kid needs to be around better people, He's a product of Motown and you would think he was Tommy Hearns by all the people in his inner circle. He act as if he won titles in multiple weight classes by the way he conducts himself. I know him well because my nephew fought him as a amature. His heart is also questionable in deep waters. Talent can get you only so far, it's the fortitude that makes champions however. I have seen many kids just like Vernon many from Detroit, that did not reach their full potential.
