  • Comments Thread For: Maidana, Garcia React To Ariza Working With Mayweather

The upcoming Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana mega fight had yet another storyline added to it as early Friday morning Mayweather posted a photo on social media of him and strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza appearing to be working together. The twist is that Ariza worked with Maidana before and was in his corner for the first Mayweather fight.

During their July press tour to promote the rematch, BoxingScene asked Mayweather about Ariza departing the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy to which Floyd responded by extending an invitation to Ariza to come to his gym. From everything going on, it appears Ariza took Floyd up on his offer.

Anyone with half a brain knew that it was just to get into Maidana's head and a a little promotion too.

When has anyone gotten to Maidana's head? This isn't Judah, DLH or Ortiz, Mayweather is the only one looking stupid here.

When has anyone tried? Chino cardio will betray him and he will lose.

oh and that Rubio comment was laughable...GGG will stop this guy? What power?

Broner tried, Mayweather tried and Maidana has been all smiles whilst taking selfies. It's as useless as this fight really. I'm not expecting Maidana to make any changes either.

You mean those important weeks that stopped us from seeing Manny vs Floyd fight because Floyd wanted more testing during that period ?????

Floyd will be sneaking in several special shakes from Ariza that are used especially for those remaining few weeks . Then Ariza will make sure that he smuggles in some Ariza stuff to give Floyd between rounds like Floyd fans said he did for the Maidana fight.

"So now those last few weeks before the fight are no longer important" - Floyd fans
