At the Polideportivo Municipal in Buenos Aires, Argentina, WBO super flyweight champion Omar Narvaez (33-0-2, 19 KOs) dominated Victor Zaleta (17-2, 9 KOs) of Mexico for a twelve round unanimous decision. Zaleta was overmatched and got outboxed for most of the contest. He lost a point in the sixth for a low blow. In the later rounds it was target practice for Narvaez but Zaleta would not go away. The scores were 119-108, 120-107, and 120-107.

Was surprised Narvaez handled Zaleta so easily. Thought he would have given him a tougher fight and Narvaez showed signs of aging in his last fight in May against Beleno.

Cesar Seda is Narvaez's new mandatory, and that won't be so easy. Seda looks like the real thing and Narvaez will be 36 by the time they fight, probably in Puerto Rico. IMO, he could end Narvaez's career and be a lower-weight star for a while

He said he felt slow in his last fight because they changed the strategy for that fight. He figured, because of moving up, he should focus more on strength.

But now he said that they went back on focusing on speed, moving in and out, you know his usual style and that he felt more comfortable.

He said they are pushing for a fight with Hugo Cazares in Mexico, Argentina or anywhere. And he is also interesting in moving up to bantamweight to fight the big names of that division
