  • Comments Thread For: Mike Alvarado Sparring With Miguel Vazquez, Sergio Mora

We recently welcomed Mike Alvarado (32-0) to The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene.com's official audio show. The fighter known as Mile High Mike is preparing for his April 14th HBO televised fight versus Mauricio Herrera. Alvarado is a sizable favorite heading into the fight but Herrera enters the fight on a roll himself. Last year Herrera picked up a pair of upset wins over Ruslan Provodnikov and Mike Dallas and is looking to continue his winning ways. [Click Here To Read More]

Not that Herrera is a push over, but it'd be nice to see Alvarado get his name in the title shot picture. It's nice to see he's at least getting some more exposure on the televised portion of an HBO card.

Those must be some awkward sparring sessions, with two guys with awkward styles and no punching power. I still like watching Titere, and Mora not as much since the Mosley fight. Hopefully Alvarado get's a shot soon, it's been too long of being a prospect.

Agree. Vasquez is boring to watch at lightweight he's fighting weightdrained, he needs to go back up to 140 were he threw a lot more punches and was fun to watch. His only losses came to Canelo and Bradley 5 years ago.

                  Why not?

Sergio Mora's a 6 ft MW fighter former titlist.

Is this really the kind of sparring that best suits this fight is Herrera an elusive mover who looks to pot shot guess they're trying to get Alvarado used to boxers
